• Which advantages does laser based sample preparation offer compared to conventional microtomy and cutting and grinding technique?

• Which cutting thicknesses are possible?

  Defined cutting thicknesses in the micrometer range are possible, typically around 10–100 µm, depending on the material. The reproducibility of the cuts is ensured through standardized process parameters, defined cutting and embedding conditions, and integrated quality controls.

• Is consulting and support for histology offered?

  Histopathology often is a later stage of preclinical studies. However, early planning of histological processes during the study design phase prevents delays and ensures reliable results. We provide support and advice ranging from proper explant fixation to best embedding procedure to the selection of the appropriate stains that provide the best possible answers to the specific study’s questions.
