LLS ROWIAK LaserLabSolutions is proud to have placed a first laser microtome system in France at the SC3M-Plattform of the Regenerative Medicine and Skeleton (RMeS) laboratory at Nantes University.
The SC3M-Plattform will act as a reference center for France. More collaborative research with LLS ROWIAK for application development is planned. Details see here.

Oxford-ICMRS Symposium – August 12-15 2023, Keble College of Oxford University
The International Chinese Musculoskeletal Research Society (ICMRS) has organised the international Forum on translational Medicine in Musculoskeletal Conditions.
Our colleague, Heiko Richter, will be there to give a workshop on “Laser Microtomy – Advanced Sample Preparation for Imaging of Hard Tissues and Implants” on August 13 from 1 – 2 pm. If you want to learn more about the advantages of laser microtomy, be there at the workshop of LLS ROWIAK at Oxford – ICMRS Symposium.
LLS will be represented by our colleague Heiko Richter at HEARING workshop from 21. – 24. May 2023 at Monte Verità in Ascona, Switzerland.
He will be glad to discuss how our special laser based histology services can accelerate and improve the preclincal studies. We are happy to be part of it and hope for an interesting exchange.

Future Day at LLS ROWIAK LaserLabSolutions – Discover science and technology
On Future Day, three students from grades 6 and 8 had the opportunity to gain insights into the production and development projects at LLS.
They learned about the variety of scientific and technical fields of knowledge that form the basis for cutting and analyzing biological tissue with laser optical systems.
The students made their own thin sections using the laser microtome. They analyzed and evaluated the thin sections under a microscope. The young people built an optical setup from optomechanical and optical elements, adjusted a diode laser and were given a live demonstration of a 3D CAD design. To conclude the Future Day, the three students programmed their own small software for a microcontroller to control a fan.
